What Businesses and Companies Need to Know About Going Online

What Businesses and Companies Need to Know About Going Online

Some business owners and company managers do have to chose between still being offline (i.e. not using the internet of things as a platform for doing business) or going online. This is a very necessary decision to make and as such it requires proper knowledge, planning and attention. I will be writing about what businesses and companies need to know about going online.

Social Media Landing Page for Marketing, Advertisement and Contact Display
The first thing I will like to share here is about if your business or company is ready to go online. When does a business or company need to go online is determined by a simple factor which is “Is the business serving any online attention”. By this I mean what service do you offer as a business or company that needs to go online. Are you as a business owner or manager of an organisation considering going online basically because you want to grow a large community of customers or clients? If that is your reason of going online, then what is the right approach to go about it? If going online is basically for marketing and advertising your brand or products and services, and other reasons are not to offer any service online customers, then the best approach is to use a marketing and advertising platform and just having a landing page as your company’s or business’ official page. If your business or company fall under this category, there is no need in this case to own a website especially if your business or company is small business and not yet standing aright. Owning a website for your business just to display contact information is not a good managerial decision to make. Facebook is one of the good social media platforms to create a landing page for your business and this is free. And if you want to run some advertising it is also easy to do it right there – that shouldn’t be your only medium to run your adverts. However, if you are not used to using the internet then you will need to pay a freelancer to help you with managing your Facebook business page and running adverts across the internets.

Own A Website for Rendering Services Online
If your business or company is actually ready to offer real time service(s) online to it’s customers or clients then consider having a website for your business or company. When you have created and launched your website for your company or business the other thing to do is to start pulling traffic to your website so that those whom you care about can know about your online existence and they can start visiting your site to get services rendered to them. Without actively engaging in putting your website on high traffic sites for creating awareness websites do not by default create awareness themselves, it is by coincidence that a visitor who never knew about your website gets to your website if you do not create awareness for it. Using SEO is not enough because people only by chance get to follow the link in the search result to your website. Using SEO tools should only be an added awareness creation strategy and it is also highly recommended.
Running Adverts for Your Brand or Services
As I mentioned above, whether you own a website for your business/company or you are using only social media platform for your business or company landing page it is necessary to create awareness. That can be done effectively using the advertising tools and platforms found on the web. There are various ways to create awareness anyway, but I will only write about running ads (advertisements) as a means of creating awareness. To create and run your ads you will need to first have the right capturing or convincing words that will match and attracts your potential customers’ wants. Another thing to have is the right image for displaying and conveying the right messages to your potential customers via the ads. Then the next thing will be to head to advertising platforms to place your ads and to be published. This usually cost some money – though some platforms offer free or both free and paid ads packages. Find which one is ok for your business’ or company’s financial purse strength.
Run Ads Strategically at Planned Intervals
Know that you regularly need to be running ads to continually pull old and new visitors to your sites or social media page. This should not only be done when your business or company is not having enough clients or customers. Rather, it should be done regularly even if your business is doing well in terms of sales and production. As your business grows, you should plan and layout out ways of handling and synchronising sales, production and advertisements.

How to Avoid Unauthorized Credit Card Payment.

Almost 60% of the world internet users, at one point in time or the other, have to use their credit card online or at Point of Sale (POS) to make payment(s) for goods or/and services purchased. Most of these people usually buy things or purchase things online through e-commerce websites while some will have to pay for services online such as subscribing for services that require payment to the provider of the service(s) e.g. DSTV subscription, Utility Bills Payment etc. In view of these, I will be showing you two reasons unauthorised payments are usually transacted without your knowledge and how to avoid it. Firstly, from my research and experiences as a software and web developer, who will definitely have to work on integrating payment systems, through reliable payment gateways, into applications I develop per clients need, I have seen why people complain of a service provider or product seller deducting money from their account without their knowledge or authorisation.
